Only 6 months to go. With the economy in a bad way,I'm not sure i can make it. Even from the pacific NW it is an expensive trip. The airfare is horrid!!!
But maybe we can still attend.

I expect that a number of Whisker Club members from your Pacific NW will attend. Wouldn't some sort of group excursion rate made available from Seattle - mini bus or charter?

Found this on Dennis Dickerson's site.

For International events, BT USA leader Phil Olsen often scouts out travel, hotels and local tours and may even get group rate discounts. For information see:

Living here in Anchorage we always keep a keen eye out for low fares and if one is vigilant they are there to be had. I am registered with many travel search sites and get weekly updates for places I want to go! The other day I found a fare for 358.00 U.S RT from Anchorage to Seattle and a fare from Anchorage to London for 756.00 U.S RT. This was how we were able to go to London in 2007 without breaking the bank so to speak. Hoping to see many of our friends in Anchorage in May- http://www.akbeardclub.com/registrationopti.html

Oh and Iditarod sled dog champion Martin Buser has accepted our request to be a judge as well- http://www.buserdog.com/ I think you will enjoy meeting this great Alaskan hero. Martin hails from Winterthur, Switzerland his birth place but now calls Big Lake , Alaska home.

I am going to do my best to make the trek from Gresham, Jim. I am moving just prior so it will take some budgeting but I think it can be done.

Where are you? Europe or the US?
