If someone made you a custom wax......

Strength: 1-10 (10 being immoveable, 1 being mostly natural)

Recipe: Aú Natural or science lab?

Scent: Yes or no? (If yes, top 3-5)

Uses: Hold only? Or moisturizing as well?

Color?

What are the compromises you face with your current wax?

Packaging: Tube, tin or??

Bonus question: would you wear a wax with the hold you like if it had a scent your significant other really liked? (You know what I'm talking about!!)

Please have fun!!!

I would want one very firm, even in hot weather or humidity, all natural, unscented or something woody like sandalwood. I feel skin oils moisturize well for me, and color should be neutral as I have a mix of gray and dk brown. To be in a tube it would have to be very soft or include water, and the hazard with water is the product could dry out before use or if the cap is loose. I wouldn't wear something my honey disliked - unless that was the moustache itself. I currently use nothing or glue stick or clear gel tacky glue (CGTG). All the waxes I've tried fang after a few hours, or are a little greasy. The glues dry greaseless and are easy to wash out, have no scent, hold well in dry weather.

I'll play.

Strength I'd like is 3-4. Just keep the stray hairs under control.
All natural ingredents.
Unsented.
Moisturizing.
Clear, I like my salt and pepper.
I've only ever used a tin so I'd stay with that.
And I always veer towards things that Mama likes.

My current compromises are limited. I rarely use any styling additives. Moisturizers do most of what I require except on the rare occasions Mama and I go out then I seek a bit more control.

Glues give the most control but are too stiff for my taste.
Firemans Wax, as I've learned to use it (less is more) gives me about 75% of the control I want.

If someone made you a custom wax......

Strength: 10. I only wax the ends to keep a bushy centre with ends either tightly waxed or combed out and bushy tapering to a point. Either way I don't want those ends to move. And water resistance is an absolute must.

Recipe: Whatever is necessary to achieve good results.

Scent: I'm indifferent to scent. No matter what I'll end up not noticing it.

Uses: Hold only. I have a triple-strength conditioner for folicular health.

Color?: As long as it doesn't frost. I've used some light waxes which don't and dark waxes that do, so the actual colour of the wax is secondary to whether it shows in use.

What are the compromises you face with your current wax?: Not quite and stiff as I'd like.

Packaging: Tin, I've never used a tube wax but I like tins.

Definitely a 10: in its natural state mine is more akin to a pincushion.

Preferably ingredients would be all natural.

Unscented: even the best scent gets old after a while.

Having a moisturizer might be nice.

Current compromises: I've gotten used to the scent of my current wax, but it took a long time. The residue tends to not want to come off of my fingers, and I still end up with fangs at some point during the day.

Color: Definitely don't need "frost" - I've got enough of that to begin with!

I like the tin much better: fits well in the pocket and is more indestructible (and it looks cool).

If my wife liked the scent that would be a major bonus! She's still having a hard time adjusting to the hb...
