It became necessary some months ago to close the Forum to new members as the result of a rash of spammer registrations by individuals with no actual interest in Handlebar Moustaches. When we decided to re-open the Forum recently, we prominently posted some simple and reasonable rules for choosing user names and e-mail addresses. This is designed to help to identify you as a genuine Handlebar Moustache Enthusiast who will probably have looked around the Forum as a guest before deciding to register, and will have perused these rules.
I have to tell you that many recently-registered members appear neither to have heeded the rules, nor helped us by sending any explanation of an obscure but perfectly genuine user name or e-mail address.
Please help us to keep this forum clear of unwanted traders, spam merchants and other internet low-life by either choosing a friendly real or partial real name, or if you have a 'nick' that you often use on other Forums that could be obscure to someone not in-the-know, or that could flag up the slightest suspicion of a non-Handlebar agenda, send us an e-mail first, explaining your proposed details. You will find the e-mail link for the Forum Administrator at the foot of the Forum entry page on the main Web site here.
If you do this, your account will be activated as soon as possible, otherwise there may be a delay while we attempt to contact you by e-mail for confirmation.
