"A Handlebar Moustache is indeed a glorious facial hair feature. Whether it stands alone or crowns some other form of facial hair, the glory comes from it being a 'Handlebar' and not simply an ordinary moustache." - Schnauzer

:?:

I really don't know if I should compete or not at the WBMC. Tell me what you think. I am by nature a rather shy person and it's a difficult decision to take, especially when you know hundreds of eyes will look at you, assess you, etc.

It's a thing to travel and attend as a spectator (what I will do anyway, I've got my plane ticket already) but it's another thing to compete.

And furthermore, what could be my chances? I'm not convinced that my 'tache is so exceptional it deserves to be exhibited (even if I'm quite satisfied with it).

You'll find another picture of me in the HBC Gallery (European entries)

Advice and comments are welcome.
Pascal

Pascal. I agree with Kapellmeister. You have an impressive stache. If nothing else, go for the experience and the fun of it all.

I mirror what others have said – you have a great moustache and in my opinion its worthy for competition. I think you have a good chance. I can imagine its a difficult decision but it may also give you a confidence boost.

Good luck :D 8)

Well before we know it,the WBMC will be occurring. Those fortunate souls in europe have the chance to attend this great event.I cannot wait until the 2009 contest in Alaska.I will most certainly be competing in that.
A good couple of years to grow the handlebar even better!!!

Pascal ...

Good to find you in another forum (we each have a MySpace page ... as do some others here).

I hope you decide to compete. I am a believer that the spirit of the competition is far more than the quest for victory. Don't go to win ... go to celebrate in the ultimate way ... getting on stage with those who share your passions!

I'd like to go to one of these competitions but they are a bit far for me to travel.

I'd go as a spectator as my growth is fairly average.
