I have a feeling that there are a lot of tea drinkers around here. I just wanted to share my preferred piece of tea brewing equipment. It is called the MugMate by MSR. I have been using mine for about 14 years now and it is still going strong. I bought it originally to make coffee on a backpacking trip, but only use it for tea now (you can use it for coffee too, sort of like a French press in reverse, where you pull out the filter instead of pressing down the grounds).

Anyone else using some genius tea gadget they'd like to share?

And now, back to my mug of tea :english

As Schnauzer tells me, I am happy with the clippings from the floor of the Twinings company in their used socks that they call tea bags! LOL!

I have also switched to teabags, as there is no other way to brew tea for me at work... and I have to say, I have got used to the taste and do not see any difference.

I can see there is probably a reasonable market for a proper Handlebar Club Teapot!

I like brewing when it's something I have on my house, but mostly I drink tea bags, Twinnings, my favorite.

I've been called a tea snob for my steadfast use of traditional tea and tea gadgets - kettle, tea pot, tea cosy, tea strainer, tea cup and saucer. Our new electric kettle is brilliant; it shuts off by itself after boiling for a minute.

In the early '80s I was tempted to buy a more modern gadget called the Teasmade. I never did get 'round to it, then it fell out of favour. The Telegraph reported in 2009 that the great British Teasmade may be back on the boil. :D

All I do is boil water and throw a Lipton's green teabag in the cup. I used to have a really bad habit of consuming Coca Cola (regular, not diet) in substantial quantities. I read one day how bad it is for you, and how much it contributes to excess weight, so I decided in October 2010 to give it up straight away. In one week, with no other changes, I lost 5 pounds. That triggered a weight loss journey, where combined with exercise and a strict calorie intake, I lost nearly 50 pounds in six months. To replace the soda, I turned to green tea. Now I drink as much, if not more green tea than I ever did soda.
