I've yet to grow my bar/pringle/middle out, but I'm working on it! I want the middle to reach right out to the ends of my smasher. I fully intend to part in the middle using a 'softer' wax that will allow my top lip and only the ends of my bottom lip to be covered. I personally wouldn't want any more than that to be concealed for numerous reasons, both aesthetic an practical. But go with whatever works for you Scotty. It's your face after all. Your confidence in your appearance is what will make whatever you choose work.

I always train mine to the sides. First and foremost, it helps keep hairs out of my cake hole. Secondly, it conceals the differing lengths of individual hairs and essentially eliminates the temptation and need to tr*m them evenly, which really isn't necessary. Finally, it helps bulk-up the bar and handles. Having said that, occasionally I have styled the pringle down, but training has always been to the sides. @Matt - the middle will likely never catch the ends unless your pringle* grows at a faster rate than the handles. In my experience terminal length varies across the upper lip. I can reach two or more inches on the handles but the bar has max'd out at an inch to inch and a half. *sounds almost obscene in this instance - I'll show you mine (pringle), if you show me yours.

I part it in the middle and comb to the sides.
I brush down only to clean the hairs before shower, to then comb to the sides. Using it down would create a hungarian I think, a style I can't really work out, too hard to eat and drink.

I don't have a natural part at the center - does anyone? - so I just sort of part it a bit, pushing it to the sides if using no product, or combing it down at 45 degrees with glue or wax. What's a "smasher"?

What's a "smasher"? My moustache parts naturally in the centre "Smasher" is used in British English to provide superlative praise, for example, "Eric, that's a smasher of an English moustache you posted in the other thread!" or "That's a smasher, Eric, a really superb moustache!" Just think of the Broadway show that was a "smashing hit" and you'll remember

"Smasher" is the description term chosen by our illustrious Handlebar Club co-founder Jimmy Edwards for his own and other similar bushy and splendid Handlebar Moustaches at the inception of the Club in 1947. So that word has a special resonance here and to all Club members. David

Thanks for the advice Schnauzer. You make sense. I do expect that I'll trim the handles at some point in the very distant future (gasp!), just to keep things neatly under control, but I now realise the... ahem... Pringle may not reach right to the extremes in reality. That said, reach for the sky, I say!
