As promised please find here a short review on the above mentioned wax:
This wax comes in a 20ml (just over ½ oz) screw lid tin. After opening it you will notice a fine lavender-scent.
As far as I can read the very small ingredients-sticker on the back of the tin, the wax contains: beeswax, olive-oil, glycerine, lavender- and bergamot-oil.
The wax itself has a nice yellowish look, apart from the photo, which suggests that it’s somehow greenish.
The consistence is very, very hard and dry (I suppose it contains more than 75 % wax), which took me a couple of tries to apply it. I would describe it as a very firm wax, which provides a strong and lasting hold. One thing I noticed is that it tends to accentuate grey hairs. Using only small amounts of wax may avoid that effect. The scent itself is nice but lasts not that long once applied to the stache – which is IMHO very positive.
I have used it for over two weeks now and I really like it. Especially on the tips it does a very good job. So if you are looking for a very firm wax - give it a try.

Thanks for the review - have you by any chance tried Firehouse Dark? I wonder how it would compare...

Hi smedstad! So the Firehouse Dark has been arrived now and tested. From the smell and consistency I guess that the FH-Dark is a 75 beeswax/25 petroleum jelly, brown coloured wax-mixture. The holding power is very strong but as meangene34 already has mentioned - a touch up during the day is sometimes needed. Compared to Natty Twizzles: FH-Dark is not scented, brown coloured and IMHO easier to apply. However both waxes are very firm and provide good holding power. Hope this is helpful...

Thank you for the comparison! I bought the Mr. Natty Twizzle's a while back and it is indeed quite a hard wax with a firm hold. Around the same time, however, I noticed that my moustache was suddenly behaving better with Firehouse WT and - surprisingly - Oregon WH (which I hadn't tried for a few months). I think it could be because my moustache is longer and better behaved than it used to be... and also, I am usually going for a more relaxed look these days and just need something to keep the the flow rather than cement it into place. In any case I think I'll hold off on the Firehouse Dark for a while - perhaps I'll order one of the more obscure waxes listed in the new review's section to satisfy my wax buying compulsion and contribute to the HBCF body of knowledge

I experienced exactly the same as you did. Meanwhile I can even use Skippy's moustache wax and it works for me (which is far away from "firm")

Still can't make Skippy's seem to do anything unless I use gobs of it and go for a "slick" look - it's just too sticky. Sure does smell nice, though!

The conclusion here is: every stache is different. And it takes a lot of time (& money ) to find the perfect wax.

My daughter is sending me two tins of Mr. Natty Twizzle wax from London. When I get it and use it I will also review. I am not partial to real hard waxes, I like the more supple and natural look. Hard wax gives, in my opinion, the wearer too hard a time and does not flatter the handlebar. But, I will report back when the time comes.

This is the only really hard wax I have tried. It works fine - I just have to use even less than the already little amount I usually use for Firehouse WT and Oregon WH. If you get too much in your moustache, it gets too hard for my liking... Smells good though

I don't usally use a hair dryer to style my moustache but I find if you just hit your 'tache quick with a bit of heat any wax, hard or soft, will comb through real easily and let you do whatever you like! If you style it and then just hit it with a blast of cool air to let it set up your stache will have a nice natrual look and stay pretty much however you style it!

Both tins arrived from London. One tin was okay, solid and very hard. When I use it, it gives a gentle curl and not a hard, heavily waxed look. While the wax is hard and not too easy to put on your finger, it seems to be gentle on the stache. The other tin was 50% wax and 50% oil. I contacted Mr. Natty via e-mail and he is replacing the defective wax and sending another tin for good will. Very nice of him to do so. I know it sounds crazy, but it smells like the buttered popcorn you get at the movies. The essential oils in it don't really give the smell you would think.

Mr. Natty is a very hard wax, however it goes on easy. gives a supple yet firm hold. smells like fresh buttered pop corn. My first tin was defective, liquidy and would not hold. Mr. Natty sent me a replacement plus an extra tin. He is a gentleman of the first order. I will order again.

Received a pot of this in the post today (on the back of the generous 30% discount offered to club members). Will replace this comment with a review after i've trialled it for a week.
