"A Handlebar Moustache is indeed a glorious facial hair feature. Whether it stands alone or crowns some other form of facial hair, the glory comes from it being a 'Handlebar' and not simply an ordinary moustache." - Schnauzer

Amount and price
Depends on what you buy - I bought the "gift pack" because it included the brush.

Reviewer’s climate
Southwest Norway, quite damp and windy.

Reviewer's Moustache style(s)
When I first started using this wax, my handlebar was only a couple of months old and I always waxed tightly, with either curled or straight tips. Now, after about a year, I generally style my moustache looser, with a fuller look.

Consistency and firmness
Easy to get out of the tin. Warms up easily between the thumb and forefinger. Easy to apply. I use very little, for a soft hold and like how it works. It is a little greasier and less sticky than Firehouse WT.

Application and visibility
I can apply this wax both with or without a hair dryer. I use a sort of pinch-and-twirl technique, with the thumb under my moustache and forefinger at the top. Starting in the centre, I pinch the moustache and use a motion similar to what you would do to snap your fingers, working toward the tips. When I don't use a hair dryer, I make my moustache tighter than how I like to wear it. Then wait 15 or 20 minutes and comb through the wax to loosen up the moustache and make it look fuller. This also helps prevent hairs from clumping together. When I use the hair dryer, I apply as described above, then blast it with hot air from below and also from the centre toward the tips. Then comb through, use some more hot air if necessary, done. Without the hair dryer, the wax is more detectable, but you would have to be standing awfully close to see that my moustache is slightly darker and greasier than normal. With the hair dryer, the wax is virtually undetectable.

Durability
I find this wax very effective for a soft hold. It holds the basic shape/flow of my moustache all day, but you will need to comb or use your fingers to reshape your moustache if you go out in the rain or heavy wind.

Additional thoughts and conclusions
At first, I hated the smell, but now I find it mild and kind of like honey. You can read my olfactory impressions in the It must smell good thread. I would recommend this wax for a soft, flowing hold. I feel like trying to use it for a tightly styled moustache would leave your upper lip feeling heavy and greasy - but then that is often the case with most waxes when going for a "tight" style.

Oregon Wild Hair

Maker's Web site/product details
see above

Amount and price
1 oz tin (30mL) for $9.45 (post included in US) 12.30 Euro.

Reviewer’s climate
Florida, humid, hot majority of the year.

Reviewer's Moustache style(s)
English and Hungarian

Consistency and firmness
firm enough, easily gets out of the tin.

Application and visibility
Followed directions included in package, after application combed or brushed in, added a little more to firm the tips.

Durability
Staying power during daily use, not had it in rain or very humid days.

Additional thoughts and conclusions
I like the smell, pleasant to me, may be a put off to others (musk). I would recommend, and actually prefer this to the firehouse wacky for a daily use wax.
