David Thanks David! Ah, First from India - Great then! Indeed, a lot of moustaches abound - but not too many in my age group, and hence, the opportunity to flaunt it!

Hey guys, just a quick post to introduce myself. I'm Kenny and posting from San Francisco in the US. I've grown a nice beard I'm pretty proud of the past 6 months, and never realized my mustache had such potential for greatness, so I'm going for it. I'm at about 1 inch length right now, and training with Dr. Dittmar wax. It holds pretty well, but these are some coarse, wiry hairs! I just keep pushing them to the side, and think in another 3-4 weeks I should be ready to do some initial styling. I'm not quite sure what type of handlebar I want to wear, so I joined this forum to learn more. I'm thinking something loose and relaxed for every day with the potential to spiff up for special occasions or just for fun.
My avatar picture was taken last Friday, so that's pretty close to where I am now. My mustache just covers my entire mouth when it's closed, except the center part of the lower lip. I'll get a picture or two up in the next few days once I figure out the guidelines here.
I'm glad to be part of this forum, and it's good to see some familiar mustaches from other forums.

Hello!
I decided last November to wear a full beard through the winter, and did so through January. At that point I took a trimmer to it to clean up a bit, but decided to leave the moustache untouched. In February I began to experiment a bit more, having never grown (just) a moustache, and stumbled across this forum while looking for wax recommendations. A month later, I've trimmed the beard up even more and have had a few occasions to wax the 'tache into some good curls - I'm currently only mustachioed (versus bearded), but prefer a bit of stubble to balance out the look.
My profile avatar is a couple of weeks back; I think the Western look suits me better than some of the alternatives.
I live in the States - Montana, specifically, a relatively vast northern area of 147,042 sq mi (in between Sweden and Finland, for comparison) with prairies and ranchland in the east and glaciered mountains and thick woods in the west. I've lived across the country as well as a short stint in Ireland; I'm currently looking forward to pursuing graduate studies in English Literature in an Irish vein this autumn with a long-term goal of a PhD and professorship.
I love a good book, a good game, a good film, a good beer, a good song, and a good friend. If any of those things include a good 'tache, all the better.
Looking forward to spending a bit of time perusing the forums and learning from those who went before!
Cheers,

Hello gents,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I've had some form of facial hair (usually a full beard or goatee) for the past 6 years or so. I participate in Movember every year by shaving everything off and growing a tache from scratch, not easy to go bald after 12 months of beard, especially in the winter! Last year I decided to let the mo grow after November and (except some naive tr*mming of the middle early on) I've not cut it since. I've allowed my beard to return but the moustache takes centre stage and it has been a very interesting experience so far.
It's a good few inches from tip to tip, quite thick, and every colour imaginable (except black). I'm hoping to get a few picture up soon, but in the mean time it's nice to meet you all and good to be here!
Cheers, Will

Hi everyone -
I'm new to the forum and new to having a handlebar mustache. I've had a beard or goatee for most of my adult life, but started shaving it off in pieces last fall. I've had just the mustache since the beginning of the year and have let it grow out since. This is all completely new to me, so it's great to have this resource. I've been using FMW wacky tacky, and it seems to help quite a bit. I hope to get a picture up soon. Good to meet you all and join the community.
Cheers,
Jason
