First post! After reading a bit on wax formulas I came up with my own, that I am currently testing: (all amounts are by weight, sorry Europe!) 1.5 oz jojoba oil .5 oz Shea butter 3 oz beeswax
Melted all together in a jar in a pot of boiling water, made my own "bay rum" scent: (all essential oils) bay, eucalyptus, lemon, lime, rosemary, about 3-4 drops for 1 oz of wax, I used a bit more bay to make it more bay-e...
It cooled pretty hard, I used the backwards fingernail scrape method and warmed up between fingers...so far so good! Although it's only been an hour on the 'Stache...
I have some uncented left, that I will experiment with scents, Any suggestions?...
I am a beekeeper, so I am looking for some hive products to sell along with honey, and keep everything natural, so no Vaseline, mineral oil, lanolin...and beeswax I have! I will probably offer 1 oz tins, and lip balm tube travel size...
Any suggestions from the collective?
Tom

Sounds very promising. How are the tests going?
I would like sandalwood, myself.

It holds pretty good, but my 'Stache is on the wiry side, so needs some reapplying...the scent is good, but I will try sandalwood/cedar next...all in all not too bad!
