"A Handlebar Moustache is indeed a glorious facial hair feature. Whether it stands alone or crowns some other form of facial hair, the glory comes from it being a 'Handlebar' and not simply an ordinary moustache." - Schnauzer

Sorry if I'm repeating a thread or information, but at first glance I can't find what I am looking for.

I'm a newbie, having just begun to wax my 'stache. It getting fuller and bigger, but it's beginning to grow over my lip and I think it may need a bit of trimming.

I'm wondering where to go for the clearest, most easily understandable trimming advice. A few weeks ago, I found a youtube video and attempting to trimming the middle hairs so they wouldn't weigh the entire 'stache down. I ended up ruining the whole thing. I've waiting two weeks for the ends to grow out again and I'm a bit gun shy to start trimming it again.

Andrew - what Schnauzer is trying to tell you is what you have already experienced. Tr*mming is usually the way to "ruin the whole thing". The center (US sp.) hairs are *required* as part of the whole. If you find they are getting in your mouth, you sweep them to the side, and sweep them to the side again, and keep sweeping them to the side, and they will eventally start to obey.

If they still don't behave, use glue stick to tame them - see EricJT's copious "World of Glue Stick" notes, posts and Blog (q.v.)

David,

Thanks for communicating in words rather than little pictures. I appreciate the help!
