New member here, and I've had a proper 'tache since I was 26 (well, apart from two accidents involving cigarette lighters that can be blamed on consuming way too much ale). This pic is of me from early August of this year, at the local highland games.

Welcome Mr. Smith and I'd like to add a very impressive moustache you have there. If you've had one since you were 26 you probably have the same problem I have when people ask me "How long did it take to grow your moustache like that?" since I've basically had one since I was 16.

Despite my recent efforts with this site I am normally fairly ok with IT honest. That said I have struggled to get an avatar which is visible, despite the extremely clear directions by David (mine won't go less than about 9Kb for some reason and even then it is only about 3 pixels in it so no longer visible!), I haven't understood the lingo of the "youth" on the site and the meanings inferred by the abbreviations and so I thought I may as well go for the hat trick and mess up putting a photo of my tache on here. (If this works I apologise!)

This was a period when I was in a "fusion"state mixing the old and new! I kind of liked it.

This is me in my various states of moustachio'dness (all pics are historical, I'll take another one when I get my camera back...left it in another state ):

Full Beard: I naturally don't grow any connection between the 'tache and the beard. This is a picture from last year but also represents the amount of beard I have now.






Moustache: I decided to shave off the beard on a whim one day and was left with this guy. I only kept it for about a week then shaved it off to regrow the full beard.




Baby-Faced: After I shaved off the moustache...couldn't handle the breeze/looking 15yo again so I regrew the beard.

The Moderator has exercised discretion with the earlier images in hope that the poster will eventually grace us with an image of himself with said requisite handlebar.

@scottyb, I just use plain old Clubman's brown moustache wax, as it's the only stuff readily available to me (I wish I could find a supplier in town, or at least in Ottawa).

And a couple of dam' impressive new entries coming along since my post. I think I'm finally home.

Stache looks strong and fine, Denis. And that pipe is almost as big as your head, it seems. lol

Here's what I had last winter. I shaved it off in the spring, but I'm currently growing another one (of course, I have no idea where my camera is, so last winter's is what I've got for pics!)


Same stache, only combed down. It may have been a few weeks after the above picture, I can't remember now!


...Not sure why I shaved it off exactly, but it does grow back!

And this is what I'm currently working towards! I'm only about 5 weeks in, so I have a long way to go yet. As soon as I can find my camera, I'll post pics of the present incarnation!

One guy at work seems overly fascinated about my stache, I'm not sure if I should be concerned or not...

Great pictures, mb_welder! We look forward to the new incarnation's progress. I think you should just be flattered that your moustache is getting noticed by workmates - after all, isn't that part of why we grow them?
