Well, I've been growing this since November 2011, and it's now Feb 2012. It's getting irritating I'll tell you that, but I refuse to shave!

Rochey,Handlebar looks wonderful. Here is the secret to a really great handlebar, leave it alone and do not trim even if you are tempted.Everyone on the board will tell you this too.I am envious of you because you are young and have the guts to grow a unique mustache.Well done .Cheers,Scottyb

Well, the beard came off a couple of weeks ago - I'll probably let it grow until it needs a trim, then shave it again. Something of a compromise to daily shaving... It's been close to a year since I've done any trimming on the moustache proper; I think I've hit terminal length except for the outer 8-10 whiskers on each side, which are getting really long. They are like unruly antennae with a will of their own, not really a thick enough bundle to wax together, but enough to see from several feet away. I've only experimented with waxing, used some of my wife's hair products. It was nice having things under control, but I'm not used to the styled look - I usually finger comb it so it angles down to my jawline. Here's a few pics sans beard - the first is my usual groom, the next two are playing around with it. (edit: can't follow directions)

Digger,That mustache looks like it is ready for take off.You will need some heavy duty wax to keep it in shape.Read the wax reviews for help..My suggestion is to try got2Bglue hair gel.It will hold a curl in place on such an impressive mustache.Cheers,Scottyb

Well, been lettiing mine grow without trimming since November of 2011. Time to see where I've come from and where I've gotten to. First photo is how I've kept my stache since the day's of yore. Really can't remember the last time I shaved it off. I've been married to my child bride for 25 years and dated her for 7 years before that. One time, before we married I shaved it off. Regretted it and regrew it immediately. From summer of 09 This morning 24 Feb 2012 washed but unwaxed. And waxed per my usual "style". I call it "The Schnauzer". Schnauzer I hope you don't mind if I take certain liberties with your name. Your "style" is the goal of my personnal "trek to mecca". BTW I am smiling. Russell edited to add: I just now noticed that the span has passed my second chin.

goatcheeser - nice! It is a good feeling when you can finally wax the tips!
Russell - very Schnauzeresque! (an admirable goal). If you could only get the tips to stay together more, the unwaxed picture would really resemble Schnauzer's stache. Impressive length for such a short time!
