The Handlebar Club Forum

"A Handlebar Moustache is indeed a glorious facial hair feature. Whether it stands alone or crowns some other form of facial hair, the glory comes from it being a 'Handlebar' and not simply an ordinary moustache." - Schnauzer

Because we are not paying for "hosting" of this forum on Freeforums.org, only for Ad removal, you can't "attach" a picture directly into a post here. But you are welcome to open a Photobucket Account, which is free, and then use the "Message Board IMG" codes in your post to make your picture uploaded to Photobucket appear in your post here.

When you have opened your free Photobucket account and have successfully uploaded some images, make sure you are logged-in to Photobucket and Select albums & upload from the menu at the top of your album.

Click the checkbox below the media that you want to generate code for. You can select several files at one time to generate multiple codes. Then click the Generate HTML and IMG code button at the bottom of your album to display a page with codes for all the media you selected.

Copy and paste the IMG code into the Post a new topic, or Reply form on this Forum, where you want the media to display.

For this Forum you MUST use either the "IMG images for message boards", or "IMG clickable thumbnails for message boards" codes, and ignore any others. Note that the image that you link-to should not be wider than the Forum message body display area normally is for many people, which is about 800 pixels wide, otherwise the full width of the whole Forum page will not be visible to many readers without having to scroll sideways back and forth.

The IMG Code on Photobucket to copy and paste into your Forum posting form should look something like this:

I'd recommend avoiding the "clickable thumbnail" option unless the image to be shown is unavoidably larger than the "standard" page.

If you are going to "attach" a photo instead, as seems now possible, PLEASE make sure that the photo is NOT more than 800 pixels wide, and that its file size is no more than 100Kb. This is easy to do with Irfanview (for Windows) or Gimp (for Mac OSX) - both free image manipulation packages available to download from the Web.

So now ... Let's See Your Moustache!

David
