Now and then I find hairs that have ends split into two or three fibers. Someone mentioned Retread, but I don't know if that helps with this. I don't use much heat with my blow dryer on low, and it's not even all that hot on my fingers as I hold the hair in place just so the curls dry pointing in the right direction.

Any experiences repairing or successfully preventing split ends in a moustache?

Living in the are you have posted I'm guessing there is a Lush store near you...I visited the one in Providence on Friday and found the ladies there to be most helpful (and just a tad amused to be dealing with a 'stache problem). Left wiht samples of both their Retread and R&B. I'll guess R&B will be the better answer for you since it is a leave in conditioner.

I also get split ends from time to time and try and cut them off individually.

The Lush R&B seems to be doing a real nice job keeping things soft which means not dried out ...and it's my understanding that is what leads to the split ends. I intend to keep it up and watch how things go - will keep you fellows posted as to results. Will say that the scent is a bit strong but it does disipate after a bit. The local Lush store was very helpful - and generous with sample portions. Give it a shot and we can run our own test panel.
