"A Handlebar Moustache is indeed a glorious facial hair feature. Whether it stands alone or crowns some other form of facial hair, the glory comes from it being a 'Handlebar' and not simply an ordinary moustache." - Schnauzer

The Wax Discussion Forum has been revised to include reviews on all Handlebar styling products - wax, glue and hairspray. As you are known to use hairspray, and for the benefit of this Forum, can you be persuaded to provide a review on hairspray brands and your technique for applying same?

In response to Schnauzer's question, I would like to add that I first used wax for my handlebar but I was not satisfied with the result: too greasy and sticky. I turned to hairspray when my mustache became quite long. I use Consort Extra Hold Unscented hairspray.

Here is my technique:
Comb + blowdry first to straighten hair.
Then I slightly spray a side and give it a curve with my fingers. With the blowdry (light breeze) in the other hand, I fix the curve.
More hairspray at the ends to make them more pointed.

Are there other Forum members using the same technique ?

Gilles

Moderator's Edit:
This Topic has been moved to better host further discussion on hairspray styling technique in this "Discussion" Forum.

The user is also invited to submit a review on "Consort Extra Hold" or any other hairspray in the applicable "Review" section and may modify the review template as necessary to accommodate hairspray reviews.

No, I am not, but I must say you are very gracious to share your championship technique with the forum.

Cheers,

Looks much easier and fast to apply than wax. I will try next time. Hope it doesn't shine too much and is easy to remove.

Thanks Gilles for sharing with us.

Hi Dannz ! No, it does not shine. As easy to remove than wax: warm shower and shampoo.
