"A Handlebar Moustache is indeed a glorious facial hair feature. Whether it stands alone or crowns some other form of facial hair, the glory comes from it being a 'Handlebar' and not simply an ordinary moustache." - Schnauzer

Glue Brand: Schwarzkopf Got2b Glued - (water-resistant) Spiking Glue

Availability/web site/stores: Etos, a chain store in the Netherlands; Kruidvat, also a chain store. I would assume this product would be easily procured.

Amount, price, currency: 150ml €6.19. That was the price when I posted this review. The price in May 2012 is €6.50 in the Netherlands but is €3.45 in Germany. In Germany it is labeled Got2b kleber.

Reviewer’s climate: Western Europe; the climate is temperate, a fair amount of rain and gray days.

Reviewer's Moustache style(s): Imperial; small and bushy with tips arching upward - refer avatar.

Undried Consistency and amount to use: Consistency of a typical white glue. Amount used, not much at all. Considering how inexpensive this product is I wouldn't worry at all about this.

Application: Quite simple. Squeeze out about 1/4'' or so three or four times and simply work it into a dry mustache.

This added after using this product for a few weeks - I've changed how I apply this. I now use my wife's hair dryer for a minute or so to set it up quickly. I also now use less of the product.

Visibility: White from tube, dries clear - invisible, as far as I'm concerned.

Drying time and Dried Consistency: Approximately 20 minutes (without hair dryer) and it does set quite hard; plenty of working time to style your mustache while it dries. This product on par with Brother's Love as far as results go, though it takes longer to set.

Durability: It lasted all day for me. Once it's set, it's really set. If you run a fine comb through your mustache you'll probably lose a few hairs though. I just brush my mustache if a few hairs drop below my lip and get in the way of eating of drinking.

Caveats: None that I can think of.

Limits/disadvantages: Considering the price and how well it holds I would be hard pressed to give this product a bad review. The initial smell is a bit like the bubble gum I had growing up. If the fragrance were much stronger it would be a kid's product. The fragrance seems to dissipate and is not disturbing in any way. Brother's Love fragrance seemed to be a tad stronger and didn't bother me, though I was aware of it just the same.

One disadvantage is the size of the tube. You wouldn't want to carry this around with you all day if you really needed to apply a touch up.

Advantages: It works well and is inexpensive, what's not to like.

Maintenance: None for me, I apply it in the morning and that's it.

Washing out: This is interesting, the product is advertised as being waterproof but the primary ingredient is water. Today, my second day of using this product, I didn't do anything special to wash out yesterday's application during my morning shower. When I dried my mustache it seemed that there was no product remaining. This is a water based product and washes out easily in the shower.

Additional thoughts, recommendations, conclusions: If there were a rating system from 1 to 10, I would give Schwarzkopf's Got2b Glued an 8.5. It's definitely worth a try and if it doesn't work out for you, you're not out very much at all. If you do like it you'll have a tube that should last several months ... or longer.
