"A Handlebar Moustache is indeed a glorious facial hair feature. Whether it stands alone or crowns some other form of facial hair, the glory comes from it being a 'Handlebar' and not simply an ordinary moustache." - Schnauzer

Well, sort of. Upon arriving at the event, I was feeling more than a little intimidated by what I saw around me and was seriously questioning why I was there. As I suspected, my moustache was pretty much lost when in and amongst my fellow competitors. I realised that if I was going to contribute anything at all to the event (and not just be there to make up the numbers...), I'd have to make a conscious effort to play to the cameras and put on a bit of a show. So, this's what I tried to do, particularly, perhaps, in the parade but around the venue too. I'm glad I did, because it was a whole lot of fun and it soon stopped me feeling sorry for myself.

The only thing was, though, that by late afternoon, I was beginning to feel exhaused and for a short while was thinking to myself 'I really can't do any more photos...'. I think this was about the time that I met you and that the photo above was taken and thus the reason for my comment above. Sure enough, once the excitement of the finals came around, I'd perked back up again.

Guy
