Any recommendations on how to get a tighter curl and get it to stay. I'm using Bounders Wax and like it for the most part. I've found as my handlebars have lengthened I'm having more trouble getting a tight curl. Couldn't find any other threads about this so. How do you put in your curl?

I have glued and then wrapped that puppy up around a cap from a tube of toothpaste. Blow dry (on cool or low) to set. Works like a charm!

That's kind of what I do now. Except the blow drying. Does that really make a difference in holding?

Glue stick will hold more firmly than wax. I can recommend Avery brand or UHU purple. Very cheap, too.

When you say glue stick, do literally mean crafting glue?

ABSOLUTELY! Great stuff too. I like the Alieen's Tacky clear as well. A bit messier, but just as good in dry weather!

And yes, Eric and I see that look on your face. No, were are not totally crazy, just crazy enough to try anything once... well at least that goes for me. The purple is nice cause you can see where it went on before you can "overdo" your lip do.

Yes, glue is my favorite. The aleene's holds harder in the middle and is better for curls. Glue stick is not as firm in the middle but great for curls also and very portable. I have two glue videos on my blog - link below. Search it for the word video. Not just any craft glue. Aleene's is tackier than white glue. Glue stick gives you other styling options as it goes on as a paste. Don't use a lot. Washes out very easily.

Small-barrel curling tongs work well. I removed the safety tip from a 1/2" set and use it when I want a curl.

I use the end of a pen, and hold it waxed to about 4-5 mins Usually does the trick for a tight curl.
