"A Handlebar Moustache is indeed a glorious facial hair feature. Whether it stands alone or crowns some other form of facial hair, the glory comes from it being a 'Handlebar' and not simply an ordinary moustache." - Schnauzer

I highly recommend to purchase this wax at “hitchingpostsupply.com” if your are not located in the US. The first mentioned online-shop charges you with USPS-rates (for international orders), which are really high.

Amount and price
2" diameter handy pocket size tin $ 8,00 + p&p

Reviewer’s climate
Upper Austria (Salzkammergut), cold & long winters, hot summers, often rainy in autumn.

Reviewer's Moustache style(s)
English, also both tightly curled and flowing

Consistency and firmness
Whenever I had a look onto the Waxfaqtor-page http://www.handlebarclub.co.uk/wax/morewax.shtml I stumbled across the Cowboy Stache Wax reviews. Apart from the fact that all reviewers agreed, that this wax is VERY firm, contradictory statements were made about how to get this strong stuff into the stache. This aroused my interest to give “that beast” ;-) a try.
The wax itself looks yellowish and its smell is very similar to Firehouses Wacky Tacky wax. (I know now that this smell always reminded me on the smell of wax-coats). The back of the tin says: To apply use hairdryer or hot water.

Application and visibility
How is it now? In short: I tried many waxes, but this is the strongest!!!
However I managed to apply this wax without a hairdryer or hot water. Keep the tin in a pocket of your trousers for 15 minutes and then use a fingernail to remove a small amount. Now I press both forefingers together (with the small amount of wax in-between) to warm it up and to divide it (be warned: the wax on your fingertips will still look hard and somehow crumbly). After that I move both forefingers gently over my moustache towards the tips for a couple of times to apply the wax. Never press you fingers against your stache, while doing this. Finally I use my middle fingers (which should be wax-free) to work the so applied wax completely into the moustache. If this method does not work for you, you can put your fingers under hot water and strike with the warm finger tips over the top of your moustache for a couple of times. This should do it.
Another method is, to warm up the tin in hot water and apply as described above. Or you use a hairdryer as it is mentioned on the tin – unfortunately I don’t like hairdryers so I haven’t tried that out ;-).

Durability
This wax really provides a very strong hold for the whole day.

Additional thoughts and conclusions
My impression of this wax is, that it is a very stiff version of Wacky Tacky, without the colouring. Apart from the similar smell, the wax provides a certain stickiness, which other stiff waxes do not provide.
