Is there a world beard and moustache championships in 2012??

Every second year, Chris. The 2013 World Beard and Moustache Championships will be November 2nd 2013 in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany and organized by the Beard and Culture Club "Belle Moustache".
There are annual national and european competitions at other times.
21/04/2012 Intern. German Beard Championships in Bad Schussenried, Germany
22/09/2012 European Championship in Heiwiller, France (Alsace)

The competition in France on september 22nd 2012 will take place in WITTERSDORF / Alsace (not Heiwiller). Just in case...

gilles, You had better alert all the German clubs, their websites all say Heiwiller. You know what they're like for punctuality; that extra four km drive could cost them six minutes and the risk of missing their category. Or...., is that what you had in mind, a cunning French deception?

No malice from me ! I got the info from Hervé Diebolt (world champion in the beard free style category) who is the organizer of the event. I think I will warn all clubs and participants as soon as possible. Any chance to see you in Alsace next year ?

The British Beard Club and The Handlebar Club are currently in discussions jointly to mount The British Beard and Moustache Championships in Autumn (the Fall of) 2012. No date or details yet.
