Please do not get me started about the lack of sentence structure and grammar not being taught in the American Public School system. The figuring is, by my best speculation, that being able to read well thought out sentences is a good enough teacher to writing well thought out sentences, but I digress.

(LOL @ schnauzzzer [sic] ) I always assumed he capitalised "Handlebar" to indicate the allegorical nature of the handlebar moustache, which transcends the mundane realm of ordinary facial hair and evokes a whole host of positive symbolism... but then I was a literature major

Well...all of the older firemen have long established moustaches...and us "young" guys have "had" what is lovingly called the "nut pad". I now bridge the generation gap..although I received more ramathorn jokes than anything ..lol...oh well, it's here to stay! It is becoming more accepted everyday

I am lost with some of these terms - I guess they are usual US parts of speech but haven't previously made it into my experience; "nut pad" and "ramathorn" in particular?
