I'll use a comb after waxing to kind of even everything out. I make sure to do it before it hardens at all, though, otherwise it can be quite painful.

I start by combing my moustache using the Kent 81T Moustache Comb. Then I brush using the Oregon Wild Hair Moustache Brush. Then I trim any loose or stray hair ends with a Dovo Satin Stainless Moustache scissor (with finger rest). I give the old 'stache a final brushing with the brush and I'm done. Sound somewhat extreme? Yeah, maybe. But I don't care.

I began using a brush the last week and can't even think not having one.
This is how I do: After shower I towel dry the moustache, shave, then brush to the sides with an up motion on the curls, cleaning and massaging softly the entire moustache. I also brush the moustache lower lip part, to mix with the upper hairs. Then I comb sideways-down/curl-up to finish and if I want I wax it.
I think I'm doing it right. Would love to make a video but my computer will not arrive this month. Maybe later.
Thank you all for the responses here. It helps a lot of people with grooming.
