My uneducated understanding of the 1.5cm rule is that from the corner of the lip out horizontally, the growth area cannot go beyond this measure.

A question to those who have competed - do they actually measure this? It seems from pictures that some of the competitors may be beyond this, although tough to say from a photo.

Good question I have also wondered about.

I cannot find a clear enough definition of the 1.5 cm rule and am confused. Does it mean 1.5 cm from edge of corner out horz. (like your interpretation Bob?) Or could it mean down vert. from edge of corner of mouth (I doubt it, although that was my mistaken interpretation until Nick convinced me otherwise).

So I don't know. A more detailed definition of the rule is needed!

As for the topic title question: I haven't entered any competitions. Just started growing the stache about 9 months ago (the avatar pic = 6 months growth).

As for competitors you mention Bob... who you feel may be close to or are violating the 1.5 cm rule....I need a better clarification of the rule itself before I can add in any comments.
