This poem was sent to us by Clive from Scarborough. He says, "For the past 14 years, 3 months and 9 days of my life, I have been dedicated to my research into moustaches. My wife has even taken to calling me 'The Great Master of Moustaches'. Recently, I have become overwhelmed with the desire to write poems celebrating the humble moustache. I have selected my particular favourite and wish very much for you to read it. It would make my day if you would be kind enough to send back [post here] your thoughts on my masterpiece:
"A Tribute to the Handlebar"
The world would be a better place, Should everyone have a moustache, Handlebars are beautiful, And make you seem quite brash.
I am myself a nobleman, Charming is my middle name, My handlebar is dear to me, For it brings me fortune and fame.
I have always considered my handlebar, The absolute height of fashion, I have been growing it for many years, In fact it’s become my passion.
Many may tell me my handlebar, Is not quite to their taste, But cherish the hair that protrudes from your face, And don’t let it go to waste.
Get on your knees and bow to me, Pay respect to my hairy friend, Thank the Lord for sprouting such marvels, May the growing never end!
LET THE RAZOR BE THROWN TO THE DEVIL!
I sincerely hope you have found enjoyment in reading my poem. Fellow moustache lover, Clive" Posted by David
